Most people around the world rank New York City as one of the most fascinating places on earth. Its five boroughs encompass more than 300 square miles and provide almost infinite levels of diversity. If you can’t find it there, you can’t find it anywhere!

In what other city in the world can you enjoy such varied experiences? Imagine a street festival in Brooklyn in the morning and an avant garde art exhibition in mid-town Manhattan that afternoon, followed by a concert at Carnegie Hall that evening? And the world-famous Rockettes at Radio City are without a doubt one of the most spectacular shows on earth – especially the Christmas Spectacular!

The Borough of Queens is the site of the U.S. Open Tennis Championships and the completely renovated 100-year old Forest Hills Stadium is an outdoor venue that features concerts from Spring through Fall. The site of the World’s Fair in 1964 is now the beautiful Flushing Meadows Park that hosts an incredible number of events and activities throughout the year. And the park abuts the home of the New York Mets, Citi Field for even more excitement.

Of course, any trip to the Big Apple has to include a visit to Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. The 27-time World Champions play baseball like no other team around. And on days when the Yankees are away, plan on attending one of the dozens of concerts held there annually.

Staten Island has some of the most exciting and unique events around. Where else could you find a Community Baby Shower sponsored by the New York Police Department? Or a community beach clean-up when you are looking to volunteer your time. And a full-scale Karaoke Party in Staten Island sounds like a great way to cap-off a day in the Big Apple.

The most famous performing artists in the world launched their careers from The Bitter End in Greenwich Village. And every night finds artists from around the world performing at places like Village Vanguard.

Did you know that New York features more than 140 museums? They range from the Metropolitan Museum of Art to the Guggenheim to the Frick Collection and the Ellis Island Museum of Immigration. And the 9/11 memorial is an emotional experience that is important for everyone to visit and learn about the heroes of New York that fateful day.

The Intrepid aircraft carrier which is berthed on the Hudson River, is the site of one of the finest Air and Space Museums in the world. One of the world’s 14 Concorde Supersonic airliners rests adjacent to the carrier, along with dozens of rare military aircraft and civilian showpieces.

The Javits Center on the west side of the city has an endless stream of events. You can visit the Book Expo in one part of the massive complex and a travel show in another. And of course, Comic Con is held there – it’s a place of legend – all available in this beautiful venue and fascinating city.

Central Park sits in the center of Manhattan – a testimony to far-sighted thinking by leaders throughout the years. Did you know that most metropolitan city areas in the United States could actually fit into the confines of Central Park? Walk from all four points of the compass and you can see outdoor weddings, experience Shakespeare in the Park in the summer and some of the biggest headliners perform in the park every year. And how about an Amazing-Race-style scavenger hunt in the prettiest park in any city in the world?

And for most visitors to New York, Times Square becomes their shrine, as they walk wide-eyed down Broadway and experience the sounds, the sights and the unbelievable lights in the vibrant theatre district of the city. Dozens of Broadway and off-Broadway shows are available to see, ringed by some of the best restaurants in the world.

It’s a city to remember that can never be forgotten!
